Definition

Acupuncture is a  therapy, using acupuncture needles as a medical instrument, to insert into body through certain points of the skin. The point is termed  as "acupoint". The points are selected not only  based on the two thousand years of TCM theory and practices, but also on modern medical anatomy, physiology as well as pathology. Numerous modern studied demonstrate that  the acupoints are functionally connected  and formed a circulating network system linking the whole body together, including brain, nerve, muscle, fascia and inter-organs. To bring the concept of the network system into acupuncture practice was originally developed from the ancient scientific theory of meridian" in TCM. It is scientifically approved that acupuncture stimulation may induce certain signals and physical reactions locally around the acupoints  or corresponding area  in distance of the body, particularly in the brain-inner organ and neural-muscle-fascia system. The purpose of the acupuncture stimulation is to rebalance or improve the health conditions, including pain reduction, stress management, and general wellbeing, etc.
